Educatiion During Pandemic Covid-19

There is a rat race of online education started during corona pandemic. Every school wants to show their presence by starting online classes for their students. All the teachers are asked to take online classes by immediate effects.
But the big question is Are our students and teachers ready for this? Are they equipped enough to conduct the classes? Do they have enough online resources? Are our students ready for this change? Answers to these questions are mostly negative. Change has to be always welcomed but this sudden change can hit hard on the our ideas and methods of learning. None neither students nor teachers were prepared for this. Many of the students think phones are for playing games and hardly can be used to search the meanings of the difficult words or just a taking pictures to complete the homework.
The situation has really make us to take the pause and ponder over the condition of education in Maharashtra. We need to adapt to the situation and take it as a challenge which will change the course of action of learning. It was child centered and will be the same in future but surroundings are changed, the technology has widened the horizons and bigger spectrum is available for both. There are n number of ways to teach and learn with or without teacher. Nature being our biggest Guru is teaching us many lesson of patience, love and caring during the pandemic at the same time tirelessly people are tortured to travel and cover long distances by walking , killing many. Some body has said the strange things happening around like atmosphere is clean and has pure air but we have to wear the masks, roads are empty but we can't go out such situations disturbs both teachers and students.
We are waiting somewhere the situation will be under control and everything will be normal. Students again and again ask Mam you will be repeating this again in the class n? I just smile and start thinking then what am I doing now? If it has to be repeated then shouldn't we start now or lets take it to the level where students will not ask such questions. They will be fully satisfied and will be ready to take the other part when we will finally teach in a regular way. Again there are so many series of webinars enriching telling us to conduct online classes this way and that way.  Be creative, prepare your own material for classes podcasts, power-point presentations and many things.
Will these things help to my students sure it will but what about the teacher student bond of caring love and understanding. So many students are motivated and start studying because of their teachers. I think that will be missed totally. There is threat it will be mechanical only creating robot like students may be sharper and knowledgeable but starved of social bonding. Will everybody be able to connect is again a question mark. Diverse conditions of students wont bring them all together on the same platform which will hamper the main purpose of this prapanch.

SAVE WATER

SAVE WATER --- Don’t waste the world’s blood
A drop of water is worth more than a sack of gold to a thirsty man. India is surrounded by water bodies on three sides. Several rivers flows through the plains of India. Yet India faces the acute shortage of drinking water every year. The per capita water availability in India was 3450 cu m in 1951. This has come to 1800 cu m at present and is expected to fall 1200 to 1500 cu m in 2025.Water covers 70% of the Earth but only 3% if it is clean and suitable for human consumption. 22nd March was designated as World Water Day to draw the world’s attention to this frightening scenario. In 2015, the theme for World Water Day is ‘Water and Sustainable Development’. It is about how water links to all areas. The idea was to make the world aware that something that was so integral to existence was going to be in acutely short supply.
In Coleridge’s ‘The rime of the Ancient Mariner’, who with a parched throat says:
Water, water, everywhere,
Nor any drop to drink……
Although we are surrounded by water from three sides of India we don’t have enough potable water to provide huge population of India divided equally in all parts. This is the condition of India in respect of drinking water. The problem of scarcity of water is compounded by the deterioration in the quality of water that we are getting. Our human body contains 50-60% of water. Babies have the highest percentage of water, newborns are 78% water. Water table is getting whole used up by borings and drawing ground water for Industrial and other purposes. In coastal areas over-extraction of ground water has led to salt water intrusion into water used for drinking.
The idea of linking the major rivers to bring about an equitable distribution and optimum use of water across the country was mooted by previous government. This project will revive the water availability and avoid the floods in different parts of country. Sewage recycling and industrial effluent recycle are other steps to conserve the water.
Conservation of water is not the responsibility of only the government. Common people can also make a significant contribution in this field. Being conscious will help us to avoid the wastage. We must not use the drinking water to wash our car, clean our house etc. We must not keep the tap running while brushing our teeth, shaving or washing our face.  Take bath with bucketful water, check your plumbing for leaks especially leaking toilets and faucets, and convert your toilets to low flush.
Remember: There are 748 million people in the world who don’ t have  access to an improved source of drinking water. Thousands have lived without love, not one without water.

Students and the Social Reconstruction of India

Study as an activity, in whatever form, brings us joy and enhances our thinking, speaking and writing ability adding charm to your personality, rightly said by Bacon. To enjoy this, students have to be good students before they can be anything else. The desirable and significant role that they can play is to be better students.
If India wants to come abreast of and then keep pace with the advanced countries in the west, our students will have to take their studies more seriously. Our students have a better potential than their counterparts in the west; it simply need exploration and channelization. It is because people in the west are more inquisitive, more they wish to know. It is true that laboratories in our college are ill-equipped and general atmosphere is not very encouraging but when was that an obstruction to the dedicated soul? Did Edison have a much modernized laboratory? Let our students develop an Edison like zeal and determination for work, and soon a new star will rise in the firmament.
Our students can exercise a healthy, modernizing influence on our orthodox people. Our students who are exposed to western modernity can help break fettlers of the irrational and emancipate spirit. The superiority of reason over emotion, scientific curiosity, and democratization, dignity of individual and host of other ideas deserve easy solution.
Indian masses are in need of potential awareness. India is one of the greatest democracies of the world. Students can play a very important role to make our democracy a successful system. Students should analyze the politics and then guide the masses to make desirable changes. Students must resist every political move for exploitation and create healthy atmosphere.
India is a land of diversities; communities; creeds; religions; languages- there is such a confusing multitude that it becomes to difficult to achieve harmony. Students can make substantial contribution by developing non-communal outlook.  The last hope for the moral regeneration of the country lies only with the students. They can take the initiative to marginalize the outdated oldies and lead the country on the path of progress and prosperity. One more area is of literacy where they can highly contribute and get India rid of bane of illiteracy.
Students should realize their responsibility as the future citizens of India. They should use their power and wisdom of elderly to take India to soaring heights.

Plight of Women

Respected are the women to India who belong’s, Inspite of the rapes, molestation that seems to be wrong.
The Girl you tease can be one’s sister, one’s mother,
Please keep some shame you could be one’s brother.
Aren’t there laws to offend what is bad?
Still women are insecure, isn’t that sad.
Eve-teasing is but a rising threat;
But aren’t there ways to stop it yet.
Headlines carry such case in their very big font,
Please take some measures let them not haunt.
Let’s make an oath to provide women security,

In constitution and law’s let make it our priority.
